On July 14, 2021, a team of professors, researchers and students from the Environmental Engineering Department of Zewail University visited Eagle’s plant within the framework of joint cooperation between Zewail City and Eagle Chemicals. A contract was signed on June 20, 2021 to establish an academy specialized in polymer industries, to train the youth in the Arab region and Africa on this type of industry. The visits were exchanged on regular basis, between the researchers’ team, the polymer industry engineers and technicians at Eagle Company. During the company’s last visit to the city on July 11, 2021, students’ projects that were prepared over a period of four months in the polymer industry were presented to study their environmental impacts and determine the necessary mitigation measures of this industry. The projects reviewed all the production stages of the polymer, analyzed the environmental impacts of each stage and developed different scenarios to reduce their negative effects. The best international experiences of this industry and the rate of participation in the global and Egyptian economy were also presented. After the students presented their projects, the discussion was opened between the team of experts from the company and the students of Zewail City in order to reach the best technologies in the production processes.

The intention of the training program of Eagle’s Academy is to build, train the under graduates and to prepare distinguished cadres in this industry in the Arab region and Africa. The team of researchers and students expressed their admiration for the level of the company's research and development laboratories which were equipped with the latest international equipment specialized in this field.

في 14 يوليو 2021، قام فريق من الأساتذة والباحثين والطلاب من قسم الهندسة البيئية بجامعة زويل بزيارة مصنع إيجل في إطار التعاون المشترك بين مدينة زويل وشركة إيجل للكيماويات. تم توقيع عقد في 20 يونيو 2021 لإنشاء أكاديمية متخصصة في صناعات البوليمر، لتدريب الشباب في المنطقة العربية وأفريقيا على هذا النوع من الصناعة. تم تبادل الزيارات بشكل منتظم بين فريق الباحثين ومهندسي وفنيي صناعة البوليمر في شركة إيجل. خلال زيارة الشركة الأخيرة للمدينة في 11 يوليو 2021، تم عرض مشاريع الطلاب التي تم إعدادها على مدى اربعة أشهر في صناعة البوليمر، لدراسة آثارها البيئية وتحديد ما هو ضروري. استعرضت المشاريع جميع مراحل إنتاج البوليمر، وحللت الآثار البيئية لكل مرحلة ووضعت سيناريوهات مختلفة للحد من آثارها السلبية. كما تم عرض أفضل التجارب العالمية لهذه الصناعة ونسبة المشاركة في الاقتصاد العالمي والمصري. بعد عرض الطلاب لمشاريعهم ، تم فتح النقاش بين فريق الخبراء من الشركة وطلاب مدينة زويل للوصول إلى أفضل التقنيات في عمليات الإنتاج.

يهدف البرنامج التدريبي للأكاديمية إلى بناء وتدريب الخريجين لإعداد كوادر متميزة في هذه الصناعة في المنطقة العربية وأفريقيا. وأعرب فريق الباحثين والطلاب عن إعجابهم بمستوى مختبرات البحث والتطوير بالشركة التي تم تجهيزها بأحدث الأجهزة العالمية المتخصصة في هذا المجال.
