Collaborate with senior executives to establish and execute a sales goal for the region.
Manage a team to maximize sales revenue and meet and/or exceed corporate-set goals.
Manage the entire sales cycle including prospecting, territory development, lead qualification, customer presentations, pricing, negotiating and closing.
Forecast annual, quarterly and monthly sales goals.
Prepare sales plans and reports.
Assist sales personnel in their techniques.
Develop specific plans to ensure growth both long and short-term.
Educate sales team with presentations of strategies, seminars and regular meetings.
Review regional expenses and recommend improvements.
Suggest new services/products and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction.
Ensure customer issues are attended to appropriately and efficiently.
Build and maintain positive client and customer relationships.
Interact directly with customers to educate them on our products and answer questions.
Identify hiring needs, select and train new salespeople.
Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding new updates including competitors’ activities, prices and/or any other actions.
Attend tradeshows and industry conferences as needed to assist in presentations, booth operations, etc.
Create a harmonious working environment, train and mentor staff and motivate all team members to perform efficiently.
Develop strong customer relationships to ensure maximum satisfaction, repeat business, and increased market share.
Engage in consultative relationship-building to develop sales opportunities through a combination of prospecting through inbound leads and hunting.
Keep current on company’s product and solutions, and industry trends.
Required skills and experience
BS/MS degree in business administration or a related field
Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
Strong business sense and industry expertise
Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
