Responsibilities
Monitor and track project costs throughout the lifecycle, from budgeting and planning to execution and closure.
Prepare detailed cost reports, forecasts, and variance analysis against budget and actual spend.
Ensure all project expenditures are accurately recorded and aligned with accounting standards and internal policies.
Coordinate with project managers to review progress, update cost projections, and flag deviations early.
Work closely with procurement and warehouse teams to match purchases and inventory usage with project codes.
Assist in the preparation of CAPEX justifications, budget submissions, and fixed asset capitalization.
Generate monthly dashboards and financial summaries for senior management.
Support audits and ensure documentation is complete, consistent, and readily available.
Maintain and update project tracking tools, spreadsheets, and ERP reports.
Continuously seek ways to improve cost control processes and tools.
Required skills and experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
Proven experience in inventory control and project cost tracking, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory valuation, Fixed assets management and project budgeting.
Proficiency in ERP systems.
Solid understanding of project lifecycle phases, budgeting, cost estimation, and tracking of actual vs. planned costs.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to work closely with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to monitor project progress and control spending.
Familiarity with capital expenditure (CAPEX) processes and fixed asset capitalization.
Experience in preparing project reports, dashboards, and variance analysis for management review.
Strong skills in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data visualization tools.
